Fixed a windshield with a hotel flip-flop
A short testimony
“Megan once fixed a broken window on my 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser with a hotel flip-flop. The Land Cruiser was Canary yellow, at least it used to be. The miles on the dash are an ode to the years of use and memories made; the honeymoon, the family, and even that time when a hitchhiker named Elvis jumped in and sang songs about girls the whole way to New York City. A life I crafted hand in hand with this machine. When the neighbor kids hit a baseball that bounced off the lamppost, rolled down the roof, and broke the windshield, it was a blessing that Megan was there to help (for the kids, not for me, it would have ended poorly for them). Where I saw a broken windshield, Megan saw an opportunity, the chance to put her BA in communications to use. At first, I was skeptical I closed my eyes and took a breath before I did anything regretful;
“How could this girl possibly fix my poor baby” I thought.
When I opened my eyes, Megan was already going to work, utilizing her talent for art direction and photography to stir up a media storm. All media platforms were blazing, followers and post engagement were off the charts, and my 1977 Land Cruiser had fan accounts… even the fan accounts had fan accounts. Megan helped raise the funds I needed to fix the windshield on my car and grow a loyal base following that supports and follows every trip my beautiful machine and I take together.
The hotel flip-flop? Megan said it’s good to add random details for user engagement and flavor to a good story.
